Actually a stairway to a newly built modern resort and shopping complex, but a sairway none the less...Took a few tries to nail the composition on this one, and I think that this works well. The lines of clouds really helped to make the geometry in this image far from mundane.

This is a hdr with a twist. The two darkest exposures were helped along with a flash, the third one was not. Ideally I would have liked to cross-light the tree and maybe have a third speedlite off to the side to get more definition on the hull of the boat. Otherwise the day i shot this was so horribly misty, probably contributing to the soft light on the rest of the scene.

An avalance breaked on one of the hills surrounding Hammerfest, Norway. These people really have the best possible place in the world to hike....though they's probably not as happy with the winters up there...
